Job Description

Supervise daily hospital operations. Train Egyptian administrators and management team in western hospital philosophies, management, and leadership.

 

Responsibilities

  • Relieve US interim CEO and continue to develop hospital management team toward a “western” style of providing clinical care and leadership.

  • Help the hospital achieve its mission of “to provide outstanding healthcare for our community, and train healthcare professionals to do likewise.”

  • Help the hospital move toward its vision “to be a model hospital for patients and

physicians in Egypt and elsewhere.”

  • Instill western leadership and management skills through training and modeling to the hospital management team.

  • Develop strong customer service philosophies and practices among all the hospital staff.

  • Interact with medical staff to change the paradigm from Egyptian to western/US patient care models.

  • Attend Board meetings, provide insight and reports to the Board, and assist in Board development.

  • Communicate with:

    • Board of Directors

    • Other senior administrators

    • Department Managers and staff

    • Patients

    • Physicians

 

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field

  • Masters in Healthcare or Business Administration preferred

Experience

  • Hospital experience in senior management role for a minimum of 5 years

  • Comfortable in international settings and experiences in countries other than the US

  • Exposure to Egyptian/Arabic culture and language preferred
